Pressing Questions! Xposted like crazy.

This is what I like to think of as a modern-day fannypack... it was part of a skirt from Express that I no longer wear. However, I am going to Intonation Fest (anyone else going?) this weekend at Union Park in Chicago, so I'll be outdoors all day watching bands and getting sweaty. The last thing I want to do is carry a purse, and I hate forcing the boys to carry everything for me, because their pants are tight too. This fits my cigs/lighter, money and credit cards, gum, lipgloss, and keys without a problem. Is it too awful and nerdy or just right for this sort of thing?

In addition to the nouveau-fannypack, I am wearing other necessities such as a headscarf to keep my hair off my face and big sunglasses... anything else I am forgetting that I'll want with me for 2 days out in the elements? The scarf is new, from Value Village, I think it was a few bucks:

I got this for $1 at VV the other day... it's a bit big and I love the pattern, so I want to get it tailored.... until then is it acceptable to wear with a ribbon like this or does that look fucking stupid? I can't decide so your feedback is appreciated:

I have no idea what face I am making, obviously a very annoying/stupid one, but whatever. I love this shirt, it makes me feel like a sailor, and I love the buttons on the shoulder. Fifty cents at VV:

I also got this shirt for $1, and I am in love with the little epaulet-style buttony things on the shoulders. Yes, my camera is obviously the worst one in the world- really need a new one.

i think the fanny pack is kinda cool actually. but i really don't like it w/ that outfit there. i think the rest of the outfit would have to be really cute in order to pull it off, something more fitted and feminine.

as for the VV blue shirt. i think it'd look okay with a real belt and around the waist, raither than a ribbon. but hey, that's me.

The outfit is def. more feminine in real life than it looks here- flowy skirt, ruffley shirt, doesn't get more feminine than that. It's also not as loose-fitting as it looks... doesn't photograph well, and I was going for the fannypack-thing to show up anyway, not the outfit.

Also I kind of hate belts at the waist on myself... it works well on others, but it's just not me. Especially with a button down... with a sweater or a cardigan, maybe, but not here. Thanks for the thoughts, though!

My value villages are always cheap for some reason (maybe cause I shop at the ones in Wisconson?) and plus I usually try to go on half off days so it's even cheaper.

Thank you. :)
